About the Strategic Plan Process

The Town of Fort Myers Beach is embarking on a yearlong process to develop a vision for the Town and a strategic plan to make that vision a reality. In order for the research team to engage and capture feedback from all stakeholders, this project has been designed to allow for various opportunities of feedback that will drive the content of the final plan.

The entire community, both residents and businesses, play an important role to developing a shared vision in partnership with the Town. The community's active participation and valuable input in this process is vital as we work together to chart a course that ensures our town's success, resilience, and harmonious growth. This project has been designed to provide various opportunities of feedback that will drive the content of the final plan. The project is expected to wrap up in 2026 with a formal document and presentation being delivered to the Town Council.

Fort Myers Beach has engaged the USF Florida Institute of Government and SPC Collaborative Labs to facilitate this project. There will be additional opportunities for residents to engage in the process. We encourage you to check this website periodically for updates.
