Today, Wednesday, September 10, 2025, the Town of Fort Myers Beach was informed by J. Frank Porter, Chief Judge of the 20th Judicial Circuit Court, of a fixed day for a Special Recall Election for the Town of Fort Myers Beach Council Members John R. King and Karen Woodson, set for Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
An Emergency Ordinance to identify the qualifying period for filling of vacancies that may result in the Special Recall Election will be brought to Town Council at the Town Council Meeting tomorrow, September 11, 2025.
Interested citizens must be a resident of the Town of Fort Myers Beach and a registered voter and have resided in the corporate limits of the municipality for a minimum of one year prior to qualifying for election.
