At the Marine Environmental Resource Task Force meeting on March 12, 2025, the monthly MERTF Environmental Award recognized Tunaskin Co-Founder Ben Duval, his employees, and volunteers for their February clean up on Fort Myers Beach.
Tunaskin sponsored their 10th Annual Beach Keepers Clean Up on February 16, 2025, which spread over the entire Island. With over 400 volunteers, they removed over three tons of garbage across Fort Myers Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods. Event Director Ben Duval and his Tunaskin team arranged for sponsors from local restaurants and businesses, donated commemorative shirts for the volunteers, and raised enough money to donate $5,000 to Keep Lee County Beautiful.
