At
the Town Council meeting on March 13, 2020, due
to the CDC and State Health Department’s recommendations for reducing the
transmission of COVID-19, the Town Council revoked the Fort Myers Beach Shrimp Festival
special event permit. All permitted special events associated with the Shrimp
Festival have been revoked as well.
The
St. Patrick’s Day Parade previously scheduled for Monday, March 16th
has been canceled
for similar public safety concerns by the sponsor.
