Each October, the Town Council appoints members to the various advisory committees and boards.
The Town Council encourages all islanders to get involved and welcomes new insight and fresh ideas. Areas of consideration for the various committees and boards include the Matanzas Harbour Mooring Field, Bay Oaks Recreational Campus, Mound House and Newton Park. Our advisory committees also seek to enhance the quality of like o Fort Myers Beach by creating a vision for our community and furthering the welfare of islanders by helping to promote a better, more positive community environment and to ensure that the unique, natural characteristics of the island are preserved.
If you are thinking about getting involved in our Town, please submit an Advisory Committee Application Form to the Town Clerk, either in person or by email no later that close of business on September 7, 2018 for consideration by the Town Council at their October 1, 2018 meeting.
