This is a code red emergency message from Fort Myers Beach Water. Fort Myers Beach has had an unexpected drop in pressure throughout the island. Therefore, as a precaution, we are issuing a Precautionary Boil Water notice. We advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows the water is safe to drink.
