The Town of Fort Myers Beach would like to provide the following important updates regarding the RentalScape portal, the new online platform for short term rental registration:
- Property Upload to RentalScape
A total of 347 properties have been successfully added to the RentalScape system.
- Condo Opt-Outs & Fee Waiver Processing
The RentalScape implementation team is currently working on developing a system to flag Condo Opt-Out property registrations processes on the portal. These properties will have their registration fees waived through October 17, 2025.
This review and update process is expected to be finalized by August 6, 2025 , during which time registration processing for these specific properties will be temporarily paused. RentalScape will provide a “Step-by-Step” guide for these types of registrations. RentalScape also confirmed that an HOA can enter up to 500 units in a single registration process, which should streamline bulk registrations.
- Technical Support & Registration Guidance
RentalScape will be providing a “Step-by-Step” troubleshooting guide to assist users with any technical issues encountered during the online registration process.
- Public Portal Functionality
Per feedback from RentalScape, the public portal can only retrieve property information using the property address. It does not support searches using registration numbers or license numbers at this time.
- Bulk Registration by Property Managers
RentalScape has confirmed that a property manager can enter up to 500 properties in a single registration process, which should streamline bulk registrations.
