On May 28, 2024, the Town of Fort Myers Beach was notified of a beehive on the Matanzas Pass Bridge. We immediately contacted the Florida Department of Transportation in regard to the issue and urged walkers and bicyclists to use caution.
On May 29, 2024, at 7:30PM, Councell Farms safely removed the beehive and bees from the bridge. This area is no longer blocked off.
