The Town of Fort Myers Beach and its municipal partners – Lee County, Bonita Springs, Cape Coral, and Village of Estero – would like to offer residents an update on their response to the FEMA verbal notification late last week that it would retrograde Community Rating System (CRS) to remove discounts on National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) premiums:
- The Town anticipates receiving a written communication from FEMA soon.
- The Town plans to work with FEMA to address any alleged deficiencies that could help the Town and municipalities retain current CRS ratings.
- The Town’s goal is to work with FEMA to address any concerns with requested information.
