Town of Fort Myers Beach, FL –The Town of Fort Myers Beach received $7,766,387 in funding from the Florida Department of Emergency Management for Island wide street lighting.

A grant of $7,766,387 that will provide the entire Island with street lighting has been received by the Town of Fort Myers Beach. This grant is now being provided directly to the Town of Fort Myers Beach instead of being a sub-recipient through Lee County Board of Commissioners. The grant has also been changed to be a one-time payment rather than being paid out on a reimbursement basis.
