Act fast! Appointments still available for PFIZER vaccinations at Church of the Ascension on ThursdayMayor Ray Murphy has arranged another vaccination opportunity on the Island
The PFIZER vaccine will be given on Thursday, April 15, at The Church of the Ascension Parish Hall, 6025 Estero Boulevard, from 1 to 5 p.m.
To get on the list, leave a voice or text message with Mayor Murphy at either 239-308-5801 or 239-777-4855
The second vaccine will be Thursday, May 6, at the same time, same place. The same entrance used for the polling place will be used for the vaccine clinic. It will be marked by an American Flag.

Sea Turtle Season is almost here!

The Town is offering FREE lighting inspections on Wednesdays after sunset. FWC has a list of fixtures and bulbs that are Certified as Wildlife Friendly.
Be sure to install bulbs and fixtures in accordance with the “required options” to be in compliance, and help sea turtles get safely to the water.

FREE drop-off event for household chemical waste is April 30 at Bay Oaks
|
|
|

On Friday, April 30, starting at 8 a.m., Town residents will be able to safely and responsibly dispose of household chemical waste (HCW) such as leftover paints, cleaners, herbicides, pesticides, automotive fluids and pool chemicals.
In keeping with CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19, this event is socially distanced, no contact.
Hosted in partnership with Lee County Solid Waste, this no charge collection event will be from 8 a.m. to noon at Bay Oaks Recreational Campus, 2731 Oak Street. Drop off is an easy, drive-through process available to all residents.
