Mound House and Newton Beach Park have resumed Kayak and Beachwalk tours after being closed for a few months due to COVID-19 governmental directives. See the schedule and how to participate here.
NOTICE: COVID-19 UPDATE Bay Oaks weight and cardio rooms are open by reservation only for up to four people at a time starting each hour. Sessions will be for 45 minutes to allow for sanitizing between sessions.
Reservations will start on each hour from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Reservations must be made at least two hours in advance by calling 239-765-4222. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
The Grounds, Tennis Courts and Pickle Ball Courts are open for use in accordance with Social Distancing Guidelines.

FMB Pool: Repairs required to the lap pool by the Lee County Health Department were to coincide with closing due to COVID-19 but will not be completed until the end of August. This pool will remain closed until repairs are completed.

The Town of Fort Myers Beach Parks and Recreation Department which was founded in 2010, is comprised of full time, part-time, and seasonal employees that serve more than 10 thousand permanent and seasonal residents. Currently, the department provides various programs/activities to a spectrum of age ranges including our signature programs, BOSS-Bay Oaks Social Seniors and Club Rec, part of our Youth program. The Department manages and operates an Aquatics Center, Bay Oaks Recreational Center which includes 4 tennis courts, two baseball/softball fields, Disc Golf course, 3 Outdoor Pickle Ball Courts, Basketball court, a playground, and also a natural area. The Parks and Recreation Department is tasked to maintain compliance with the Town of Fort Myers Beach Comprehensive Plan.
