The Town of Fort Myers Beach Parks and Recreation Department which was founded in 2010, is comprised of full time, part-time, and seasonal employees that serve more than 10 thousand permanent and seasonal residents. Currently, the department provides various programs/activities to a spectrum of age ranges including our signature programs, BOSS-Bay Oaks Social Seniors and Club Rec, part of our Youth program. The Department manages and operates an Aquatics Center, Bay Oaks Recreational Center which includes 4 tennis courts, two baseball/softball fields, Disc Golf course, 3 Outdoor Pickle Ball Courts, Basketball court, a playground, and also a natural area. The Parks and Recreation Department is tasked to maintain compliance with the Town of Fort Myers Beach Comprehensive Plan.
