2. Can I keep the beautiful shell that I found on the beach?

Only if the shell is empty and has no live animal in it. All live shells including sand dollars, sea urchins, and hermit crabs, are prohibited from being collected by laws and ordinances passed by the Town of Fort Myers Beach and Lee County.
