Each committee shall have a minimum of five members and a maximum of seven. With the exception of the BORCAB, all advisory boards and committees’ members shall be residents or real property owners within the jurisdiction of the Town of Fort Myers Beach. BORCAB allows for two of its seven members to reside outside of the Town.
The Anchorage Advisory Committee meets the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM. This committee, which advises Town Council on the operations of the Matanzas Harbor Mooring Fields, will have four vacancies.
The Bay Oaks Recreational Campus Advisory Board meets the first Thursday of each month at 9:00 AM. This board, which advises the Town Council on the management and operation of the recreational campus will have three vacancies.
The Community Resource Advisory Board meets the first Thursday of each month at 3:00 PM. This advisory board seeks to enhance the quality of life on Fort Myers Beach by creating a vision for the community. CRAB will have five vacancies.
The Cultural and Environmental Learning Center Advisory Board meets the fourth Thursday of the month at 3:00 PM. CELCAB, which oversees the Mound House and Newton Park in the promotion of the cultural, historical and environmental resources, will have four vacancies.
The Local Planning Agency meets the second Tuesday of each month at 9:00 AM. The objectives of the LPA are to further the welfare of the citizens of Town by helping to promote a better, more positive community environment and ensure that the unique, natural characteristics of the island are preserved. The LPA will have four vacancies.
The Marine Resources Task Force meets the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM. MRTF promotes the stewardship of our marine resources; Estero Bay and its surrounding waters. MRTF will have three vacancies.
Interested parties shall submit a letter to the Town Council in care of the Town Clerk on or before Wednesday, September 1, 2010.
