Town Council recently approved the re-installation of public restroom trailers at the Palm Avenue Beach Access (#30 - beach accesses and parking.) The restroom trailers opened to the public on December 10.
The trailers cost $70,600 and the Town received funds from the Tourist Development Council (TDC).
From 2009 to 2017, a restroom trailer was at the Palm Avenue Beach Access and funded by TDC including all maintenance. As Hurricane Irma was approaching southwest Florida in 2017, the Town removed the trailer. The trailer was in disrepair when removed and the Town Council at that time opted to not reinstall it.
