Lee County Solid Waste is working to clear hurricane debris. Here are some guidelines:
Most Important – Storm debris will be collected separately from your normal household trash and recycling. Place debris at the curb in separate piles and clear of low hanging
obstacles like trees or power lines or near anything like water meters, fire
hydrants or mail boxes.
Yard waste from this storm event does not need to be bundled. Place it in piles that can easily be managed
by collection personnel with a claw truck.
Be sure to have spoiled food securely tied in plastic bags and at your curb on your regularly scheduled collection day.
Do not set household chemicals at the curb – those need to be taken to the Topaz Court Solid Waste Annex in Fort Myers.

Lee Tran is running limited service routes similar to Lee Tran's regular Sunday service.
Passport will begin taking reservations for Friday trips. Fares will be collected for both regular Fixed Route and Passport Service. However, no fares will be collected on any emergency service or trips to or from shelters. Future service levels will be determined as LeeTran continues to assess route conditions.
A limited number of tarps are available.
If you have no way to charge your cell phone, come to Town Hall.
We also have limited ice available; bring a container to Bay Oaks.
The County lifted the curfew for the Town.
Garbage - Advanced Disposal will pick up garbage through this week. Regular waste pickup starting next week (9.18.17)
Debris Removal - be sure to separate horticulture debris from construction related storm debris - pick up schedule yet to be determined.
