The Fort Myers Beach Anchorage Advisory Committee in cooperation with Matanzas Inn will once again celebrate our mooring field patrons with the 2nd Annual Cruisers Appreciation Day on Saturday, April 4th, 2009 from noon to 3:00pm in the Matanzas Inn parking lot. The event will feature a barbeque, live entertainment, drinks, door prizes, give-aways, and plenty of hospitality. Boaters renting a mooring ball on the day of the event will receive a free lunch. The public is invited to attend and help show appreciation for our boating visitors. Lawn chairs are encouraged as seating will be limited.
Sponsors to-date supplying prizes include Key West Express, Matanzas Inn Restaurant, Beach Pierside Grill, and Matanzas Inn Motel.
The Fort Myers Beach mooring field boasts 70 mooring balls available for rental year-round at $13/day or $260/month. The rental fee includes use of the shower and laundry facilities and pump-out service. A public dinghy dock is available for public use to tie up dinghies 10’ or less (no overnight tie-ups).
