The Town of Fort Myers Beach will be having an out-of-the-ordinary Town Hall meeting on Thursday, March 19, 2009, at Fish Tale Marina (7225 Estero Boulevard) from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Many non-profit organizations will be gathering and displaying their wares throughout the day, informing the public of what is available to residents\visitors in our community. Some of the groups participating in this special event are: The Lions Club, Civic Association, Pilot Club, Mound House/Newton Park, Friends of Mantanzas Pass, FMB Fire Dept., Power Squadron/SN Carlos Bay, Ostego Bay Foundation, FMB Library, Chamber of Commerce, Estero Island Garden Club, Lee County Animal Services, The FMB School, Town of FMB Council, FMB Yacht Club, and Marine Resource Task Force, Community Resource Advisory Board, Local Planning Association and Bay Oaks Advisory.
Presently, speakers will consist of Lee County Commissioner, Ray Judah, Town Council, Sheriff’s Department, Fire Department and the School.
Food and beverage will be available by some of the non-profit organizations to raise money for their charities.
Please walk or ride your bicycle if possible. But if you do drive, you may park in the Church of Ascension parking lot from 11-6 only and catch the Ku-Ku Ku-Nu-Ku Trolley that will take you back and forth from the church parking lot to Santini Plaza.
