Membership Opportunities

Residential Membership

Bay Oaks Recreation Center FREE For All Estero Island Residents! 
All Fort Myers Beach Residents receive a free annual membership to Bay Oaks Recreation Center. Since the Town of Fort Myers Beach began operating the recreational facility in 2009 the fee has been $25 for an Annual Membership. Membership to Bay Oaks allows members to use the center's facilities at no cost, participate in all of our programs and offer discounts on all fee based activities. Members have the opportunity to use our renovated fitness room which is now the largest fitness center on the Beach. Please note that all programs are not free and may require a fee in addition to your membership. Bay Oaks is not equipped with locker room or shower facilities. A Bay Oaks membership does not have access to the pool shower facilities.

Corporate Membership

As of March 18th any Fort Myers Beach business located within the Town of Fort Myers Beach corporate limits will be able to participate in the Discounted Corporate Fees Rate. Since the Town of Fort Myers Beach began operating the recreational facility in 2009 there was not a corporate fee or discount offered to island businesses. At the City Council meeting on March 18th Council voted unanimously to approve the proposal with the corporate fee to be offered immediately.

Plan 1:  1-5 Savings 10% Cost:$31.50*
Plan 2:  6-10 Savings 15% Cost:$29.75*
Plan 3:  11-25 Savings 20% Cost:$28.00*
Plan 4:  26-50 Savings 30% Cost: $24.50*
Plan 5:  51-75 Savings 40% Cost: $21.00*
Plan 6 : 76+ Savings 50% Cost: $17.50*

Guidelines for the Corporate Membership Plans

  • A non-refundable 50% administration fee per Corporate Plan will be assessed
  • Corporate memberships must be renewed annually.
  • Corporate memberships begin upon completion of registration and end exactly one year from that date.
  • Corporate membership is based on business on being located within the Town of Fort Myers Beach corporate limits.

Fun Days

When school is out, make it a Fun Day at Bay Oaks! Fun Days are open to children grades K-8 from 7:30am to 6:00pm. All Fun Day participants are asked to arrive no later than 9pm and bring a packed lunch.To register for a Fun Day, please complete the form below and return it with your payment by the registration deadline to Bay Oaks Recreation Center.

Summer Camp

Traditional Summer Camp provides children ages 5-13 a fun, friendly environment where they will participate in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor games, activities and field trips. Camp times are from 7:30am-6:00pm.

Teen Progra


The Town of Fort Myers Beach, Parks & Recreation Department offers a Teen Program for youth ages 13-17. Our Teen Program participates in numerous different trips, activities, volunteer opportunities and much more. When there aren’t any scheduled activities taking place be sure to check out our Teen Room. The Bay Oaks Teen Room offers a fun and safe sanctuary to socialize, study or catch up on the latest Play Station 4 game. Teen Room hours are open daily from 12pm (noon) on school days and normal Bay Oaks operating hours on non-school days. 

Bay Oaks Social Seniors (BOSS)

Mission Statement

The mission of Bay Oaks Social Seniors is to create a vital network of resources for our community members age 50 and over to meet their needs and enhance their quality of life through social, educational, recreational, and community activities.

Statement of Goals
To foster friendship and personal interaction through social activities.To provide mental stimulation and expand knowledge horizons through educational activities.To maintain physical strength, agility, and co-ordination through recreational activities.To contribute to the community and our organization through community activities. To alleviate fear and loneliness through a sense of well being fostered by membership in a cohesive, compassionate, and supportive group.
Participation Application

“BOSS”, Bay Oaks Social Seniors is a program designed for Adults 50 and up with the goal of encouraging a healthy lifestyle by providing social, educational, recreational, and community events. The BOSS program keeps members active and enjoying themselves through many different trips and activities including kayaking, biking, and cultural trips. Also, monthly programs including potluck, out to lunch bunch, dominoes and BOCCE.

Fitness Room

The fitness room features 3 treadmills, 2 elliptical, 1 stationary bike, stair stepper, a Smith machine, numerous individual strength machines and a variety of free weight dumbbells and weight bars. The fitness room is topped off with a 50” TV. In addition to the fitness room, members can participate in drop-in basketball, drop-in volleyball, drop-in pickle ball, senior softball, and bocce ball. Members also receive a discounted rate on our many different fitness classes offered throughout the week.
