The Town of Fort Myers Beach Parks and Recreation Department is one of six departments comprising the Town’s municipal service structure. The Department, which was founded in 2010, is comprised of approximately 26 fulltime, part-time, and seasonal employees that serve more than 10 thousand permanent and seasonal residents. Currently, the department provides over 30 programs/activities to a spectrum of age ranges including our signature programs, BOSS-Bay Oaks Social Seniors and Club Rec, part of our Youth program. The Department manages and operates an Aquatics Center, Bay Oaks Recreational Center which includes 4 tennis courts, two baseball/softball fields, Disc Golf course, a playground, and also a natural area. The Parks and Recreation Department is tasked to maintain compliance with the Town of Fort Myers Beach Comprehensive Plan.
